About Us

Kadant GranTek Inc., a subsidiary of Kadant Inc., transforms papermaking sludge into cellulose-based granular products used as carriers for pest control in crop protection and green space maintenance, as an industrial absorbent, and as premium cat box filler.

Our primary product brands include Biodac® dust free carrier, Gran-sorb® industrial absorbent and several private label cat litter box filler products. Our focus on environmentally friendly manufacturing processes and products provides a safer, cleaner, and healthier environment.

Kadant GranTek uses post consumer recycled papermaking waste and transforms this waste material into several valuable commercial products. Our emphasis on using post-consumer waste as our raw material source means less industrial incineration, reduced air contamination, and reduced industrial landfill waste.

All of our products are manufactured from fibrous sludge waste from select paper mills. By converting this waste stream into viable commercial products, we make a positive impact on the environment while providing safe and user-friendly biodegradable products. In addition, we create no new waste in the manufacturing processes used for our products, keeping the earth greener in both our production and with our products.
